Yes, I realize that this is a totally different score than I gave it last summer, but the time - and probably more importantly a 2 hour decant, made a huge difference. Nice amount of oak - but not the oak bombs of some of the other napa cabs, soft tannins, a lot of fruit. Really well balanced. Just give it some air before drinking it.

Update since last bottle. All notes stand, however, on the last bottle, the wine seemed flat until day 3 and really came alive with more energy. This wine can remain hidden early. I really think a couple more years of aging would be ideal here.

Well composed Cabernet, hits the sweet spot of ripeness, neither jammy nor herbaceous, plenty of cassis and cedar. Medium-low acidity, balanced alcohol, round mid-palate. Tannins are seemingly more prominent on the finish, though plenty ripe, feels like this is moving towards a more structural phase, and will be better at 8-12 years of age.
Good with an hour decant. Hold on next bottle for 2-3 years.

Tried from a friend's bottle. Still too oaky but has nice structure and mountain character underneath.

Really well composed wine. Some tannins but really bright bright fruit/acid balance.
