This is a correct and approachable amarone. It ain’t a Quintarelli, but it’s a nice wine for pairing meat dishes that have acidity. Fine on the cork pull with some improvement over the next three hours of air. Worth $50 not $80. No reason to cellar unless you like more pronounced raisin flavors.

While not always practical, this wine had a 5++ hour decant today. I think it really helped smooth things out, and my sense is that some of the alcohol dissipated.
I was looking for something to go with our grilled tuna steak, and somehow this made the most sense (I am only drinking red). And honestly, the wine was very good - the tuna steak was incredible!
I am happy that I have a handful of bottles left.

Pure joy... one of the very best Amarone I tasted👏🍷👏
Full body. Medium acidity... but with a long sweet ending👏Soft but well felt tanines. Very smooth with a great structure👏
Dark bright cloudy ruby red color... perfect👏
Lovely aromatic, barrels, red & black fruits, spices & terroir👏
Rich & full on the palate: plum, blackberries, cherry, strawberries, oak, dark chocolate, licorice, ginger, anise, leather, cheese, mushrooms, earthy & more👏
Wish had bought more than 2, at least I have one more 🍷👏
