I am prepared to accept that the wild yeast does actually make a difference. The fruit is toned down and the wine comes across as more complex with buttery tones.

A distinctly chardonnay nose - honey and butter. Very different on the palate - more tartness bitter citrus and none of the tropical fruit notes the scent would have us expect. This is another 'wild yeast' one - takes longer to ferment, so more smoothness and oily texture. Excellent on a hot Summer day with chicken on the BBQ.

I really rather liked this although it was a bit neutral albeit nicely balanced. The oak was barely noticeable, the fruit was a bit reserved and certainly this was a dry wine. Was it worth the premium price over the entry level Chardonnay from this winery? Yes

Pale lemon in colour, lovely pronounced nose of peach, blossom and subtle spice. More stone fruit and subtle oak in the mouth, medium body with a lovely creamy mouthfeel and medium acidity. Well balanced with a long finish.
Great quality wine for the price.
