Very well made Syrah. Plush, full mouthfeel with dark fruits, olive notes and white pepper. A nice streak of acidity keeps the wine fresh and vibrant. Excellent value at $30.

Medium purple/garnet colored, medium to full-bodied, tightly structured, concentrated full and round blackberry, black currant and blueberry fruits complemented with notes of pepper, bacon fat, black olive and garrigue with floral notes turning to fine grained tannins on a full lingering finish. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2023/03/ramey-sonoma-county-syrah.html

Good wine. Started quite funky at first. Needed time to open up to black fruit, then plum, then eventually raspberry. Ultimately not as obviously fruit forward, but still a CA wine. I liked it but suspect other wines in this price range ($45 at the store) offer better price/value.

Notes from night 1 (PNP). Black in the glass. Violets, saline, olives, blackberry and iron. On palate, medium body, medium+ acidity, integrated tannins and a long finish. Flavor profile on palate consistent with nose. Really enjoyed this and will buy some more - definitely a wine with savory characteristics (and fresh fruit). Very well-made wine and good QPR for quality of this wine. 92+
Will buy some more.
