The wine features a deep garnet hue and offers an earthy aroma with notes of red and blue fruit, vanilla bean, forest floor, and tobacco leaves. On the palate, it presents a pleasant blend of plum, raspberry, and a touch of watermelon, complemented by subtle hints of clove and vanilla. The tannins provide balanced structure, while a refreshing acidity brightens the palate. The finish is persistent, highlighting the wine's quality, and the mouthfeel is smooth and velvety.

Day 1: PnP, a bit closed on the nose save for a tarry alcoholic fume. Restrained dark red fruit on the mid-palate. Acid and tannin fighting for prominence. A bit angular and underwhelming. Day 2: more pronounced on nose and palate, however this is still not a rock star Cab. Still restrained fruit and lack of seamlessness I want in vineyard specific bottlings. At USD100 I want verve, vibrancy and elegance. Not today, not impressed.

A inky dark purple hue. A masculine aroma of smoke, leather, and gravel bed. A bit tight even after a four plus hour decant. Blueberry, cassis, rhubarb and fig jam give this wine a thick tongue coating mouthfeel. The best days are ahead for this vintage with good depth and incredible length this wine will be seductive after 3-5 more years in the cellar. 93 points.
