  Much enjoyed over two nights, this Havens stalwart from the bygone winery was singing some fine notes, and it seemed the epitome of its names sake as it delivered still focused blue and black fruit to the palate. Things like creme de cassis and sour blueberries came to mind along with black pepper and a delightful sense of Beef Teriyaki. This was powerful but smooth and integrated, mature but surefooted. I need to check-in on the Cameron Hughes Lot 179 ("2007 Havens Black and Blue") of which I have too many bottles. I wouldn't be surprised if those are drinking just as well (or better).

  PnP, so-so, but after 30 minutes, it came together with black fruit, leather, gravel, enjoyable tannins and long finish.

  This wine has dark fruit flavors still there. Needed about 4 hours to begin to open up. I still have 9 bottles of this , seems like it still has legs.
