Pop and pour from a 375, out of Somm Series Syrah stems. Coffee grounds, smoke and red berries on the nose; lighter body than indicated by the nose, with some strawberry-cola(?) notes. Don't have much experience with this varietal, but this is the best of the 4 bottles of this I've had since buying this 2 years ago.

Nice straight from the bottle, but a little soft once it opens. Balance is a little on the flabby side, but really an interesting wine just the same. Peppery, smoky, great mouthfeel. Soft tannins, ready to drink, worth a try. Definitely a distinct drink from a Spanish tempranillo, but I think at $40 I prefer something from the old world.

From a .375. Not as good as I recall from prior bottles, this needed to be decanted to become drinkable. Rose and I quibbled whether this was better from a pinot or cab stem. Pinot stem made it a bit thinner but it eliminated some of the tanins and rough edges shown in the cab stem. Started off at 85, ended 2 hours later closer to an 88

Agree with FWFrog and larryw's posts. Did not decant.

Better right out of the bottle; dark fruits upfront, somewhat brief finish.
