Not as much personality as previous vintages, but still that inky darkness, good extraction and decent acidity to balance. Sandy tannins make this wine ask for a few more years before you touch it. It's enormous..

Not as big and viscous as the 2014 but still the glass and mouth staining wine it always is. On the other hand it's a more refined and balanced wine than the previous years. Double decanted in the AM and enjoyed with a handful of friends over dinner, this wine never disappoints and always gets a few "wows".

This was among the most structured of the last few years of the MW Palisades. I love the dark color, this is viscous, with chewy, drying tannins owing to thick skins and oak regimen. Black cherry fruit with vanilla and not much of the orange rind I’ve seen from previous vintages. This is the bottle to forget about in your cellar for a decade or so

Rich dark ruby in color. Milk chocolate, dark cherry, plum on the Bose. Rich and complex with medium-high viscosity. Palate is filled with dark fruits, chocolate, and a hint of lime zest. Finish is long and lingering. It’s constant with other vintages of this wine but seems a touch more concentrated than recent years
