I agree with JKD555. Find the oak and vanilla too dominant, recommend giving it a few more years to realize its potential. Red and dark fruit, black tea, some mint and floral notes. Good acidity and length.

The aroma presents as a classic, fruit forward Pinot from Carneros. Worked well with grilled salmon but the taste was a bit tart when finishing this after dinner and a sweet desert which might be misleading. The $30 discount price is actually appropriate for the wine IMHO.

92+ potential, but right now the wood is too overt for my taste. There's good underlying fruit and the acidity, tannins, and body are all in balance, so this should reward cellaring substantially. Revisit in 2025.

Earth tones and cranberry, years more life.
I didn't see an undue amount of oak.

Many folks rating this higher than I would expect. Uninteresting to my palate; flat and lacking character.
