Tried this out of the fridge, at cellar temp, at room temp, and the next day, but just couldn’t coax much out of this.
Most of the flavor profile comes from the oak, but there are some yellow fruit, apple, and petrol notes. Abruptly short finish. Lacks complexity. Overall, pretty disappointing.

Yellow apple, peach, yellow pear, toasted cedar and vanilla. Medium + body, medium acid. A lot of oak on this versus what I expect from this producer; but nothing wrong with that. Rounded. Clean, and a good mix of primary and secondary things here. Overall, I like this example of California Chenin.

I tried it over two nights to coax something out of it to no avail. Flat, simple with a clipped finish and not enjoyable to drink. If it had the taste of a little residual sugar it might be a lot more palatable. I am a big D&R fan but this is not cutting it. I agree with most of the less than favorable reviews.

Nice, joyful, a touch of apple cider. Not complex but Very enjoyable as an aperitif with two basque cheeses, an Ossau Iraty and a Bleu de Basque.
