Pale ruby in the glass with violet hues. Fresh berry fruit on the palate - crunchy cranberry, blueberry, blackcurrant. Light-bodied with a moderate acidity and low abv. This developed so nicely over the years. Before it was marked with tons of VA, but now is drinking like fruit juice, making it one of those easily approachable natural wines for anybody's taste.

A nice summer wine to be drunk with a bit of a chill on it. Those unmistakable cab franc hallmarks but with everything lightened and brightened. It's like Tolstoy decided to write a summer beach read. Cab franc takes a vacation.

Reductive style and it needs an hour in the decanter to let the funk blow away. After that a beautiful fruity performance. Forest berries, black cherries, blueberries, licorice, earthy tones, hints of pepper. Juicy in the mouth, cool fruit, good acidity, nice tannin grip, very good length with a little bitterness at the end. Only 12,5% abv, which is pretty remarkable from California.
Good balance in the wine, and a perfect match for entrecôte with grilled squash and paprika.
Will buy again.

Ton of VA right off the top. Had to let it sit for a night before it was really drinkable. This is a fun, tart, light and punchy red that I would never guess is cab franc despite the pepper. On day 2/3 and it started to show more green and earthy notes, but this still feels like a wine that's best with a bit of a chill in the afternoon -- and maybe no more than a glass or two (for me).
