One hour decant. Very very deep ruby magenta color. Blueberry, maple scone, honeysuckle, and dark cocoa. Smooth, dry palate. Soft tannins on the medium long+ finish.

This continues to hold strong for me at 94. In my opinion this may be the best vintage for this particular bottling in the 2015-2019 run. Although I've enjoyed 2015 still today and 2016 as well. To me this is a match for Silver Oak AV. If you're expecting a ton of nuance and finesse look elsewhere. It's a Cali Cab lovers wine that is plush, juicy and just enjoyable to drink on almost any occasion. Unlike many 2018's on the Napa side this AV bottling continues to be very approachable now with no signs of shutting down.
If you want a bit more nuance I highly suggest trying their single vineyard bottlings. Considerable bump up compared to these. You wouldn't only try a Napa wineries entry level Cab and then decide you no longer want to try their top end Cab's so don't do it here.

Improved a touch since my last bottle over a year ago. A really solid QPR. This bottle seemed more classic in structure and body -- not as big and rich as more modern Napa style.
Two hour decant. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Blueberry pie, blackberry, and raspberry. Dry palate, with pixelated acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
Not sure if this will get any better, but it’s terrific right now. My notes make this sound more simple than it really is. It was wine 6 of a 7 bottle night, so my attention to detail was fading. ;)
