  • A night of GG Rieslings (Ok Omens, Portland Oregon): This is fresh, aromatic, and balanced with nectarines, red apples, lemon peels, navel oranges, saline, a touch of melon notes, white fruits, green apples, and some flint. There is a lovely deftness here with the fruit showing off both the tree and stone fruit specturm. The Medium bodied feel carries through the balance of the nose while the high acidity has a lovely, mouthwatering and crisp quality to it. The finish is slightly clipped and this does lack a smidge of depth as compared to stronger wines on the evening. I feel like this could benefit from a few more years of aging, but I don't see this to be a wine that really blossoms and rates a lot higher with 5+ years of aging.
