The nose is a little young. It’s a little over powering and Acidic. The berries are light with some leather and chocolate. The start is pretty light and uneventful but when you get to the middle the berries start to punch. It has a nice dark chocolate and leather taste that kicks with a little black berry. The finish it a little rough but it might just need some more time.

tasted blind - this got snuck into our lineup of fine wines as a ringer, and a gag, and...
It is worth only 1/50th of what the '01Harlan goes for (which we had immediately prior). thus a real LIGHTWEIGHT and SAD effort. WEAK and a DISASTER.
In all seriousness, I guessed it to be a Paso Robles Rhone blend. Flavors of pencil lead, chalk, and subdued black fruits all prominent. Quite surprising that they can make this out of Virginia. I wonder if they might be utilizing mega purple or some crafty additives of the sort.
Didn't show favorably next to the Haut Brion or the Lafleur, but that's pretty tough competition. In short the 2017 Trump Winery Cabernet Sauvignon is a TERRIBLE DEAL!

Liked this wine very much. Lovely black fruit on the nose (blackberry, black currant) and herbal notes and, on the palate, black raspberry, soft black pepper, and earthy notes.
