Similar to my prior note, though I found the acidity to be more prominent in this bottle. Also worth noting, the cork was stained halfway up, so wondering if there was some heat exposure or a less than ideal closure on this one.
All said, a very good wine, but not one that really excited me. Tight aromatically, superb weight and texture, elegant style, yet didn't have the layer of interest or complexity that pulled me in. The acidity and concentration should allow this to age for 5+ years, though.

93+ First class, serious juice from Raul Perez. Single vineyard blend, wild ferment, gentle handling, all the good stuff.
N: Brilliant play between bright crushed cherries, red apple skin, sloes, and a savoury cut of black pepper, cured beef and subtle oak.
P: Sleek, tuned balance. Med body, more bright forest fruit, plums, lifted with a touch of VA. Med tannins creep forward with med+ zippy acidity. Dried roses, potpourri, white pepper.
F: New leather, dried cherries

Reminds me of Northern Rhone. Pepper, dark berries, garrigue. Dense fruit, prominent acids, and refined tannins provide great structure. Drink now-2030.

This is very floral on the nose, with ripe fruits (loads of them) and some nice spicy notes. On the palate, the bitterness is still present as noted in my 1st bottle from a year and a half ago, and it lingers on the finish. The wine is somewhat sweet, but the fruit is tasty and the finish is long. The wine has nice acidity and lingering (somewhat drying) tannins.
