This deep-to-opaque ruby wine was uncorked, poured and serially tasted over 2-3 hours, during which time it continued to evolve. Flush with dark cherries, blood oranges, rose petals, loamy earth and black tea, it is a full-bodied red with fresh acidity, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.4%), spicy oak and grippy tannins. Dense on the mid-palate, it moves on to a lengthy, albeit astringent finish. This impressive Pinot is a diamond in the rough. Give it some sleepy time in the cellar. I have no doubt that it will merit a higher score in the future, primarily based upon how this winery's vineyard-designated bottlings have typically benefitted from hibernation. Drink 2024-2030.

Delicious dark fruit and fresh herbs. Still a bit tight. Could use a few years.
