Didn’t know this was from Caymus, but learning that it was explained a lot. Overwhelming extracted red berries, blackberry and blueberry with some garrigue on the nose. Palate is where the Caymus signature comes out - soft, flabby, and sweet. Red licorice. Alcohol. Probably works for some; not for us.

Dark reddish purple in color with a clear watery rim. The nose is of fresh sweet young red and blue fruits with a good bit of green sappy twigs thrown in. The palate is medium-bodied, very, very sweet, easy drinking with a slight tannic edge that comes through towards the finish. The taste profile include lots of vibrant sweet primary fruits, herbaceous overtones, green twigs, very slight vanilla extract, no noticeable oak, a hint of ground coriander seeds. Overall, this is a simple and straight forward fruit-driven wine with not a whole lot of complexity to talk about here.

Do you like blackberries, plums, and blueberries? Well you better.
This is too sweet. No subtlety. A fistful of blackberry. Punched through your mouth and down your throat. And if you dont like that, too friggin bad. Its a caymus, you’re not allowed to say no.

Dark garnet on the pour with translucent rim. Raspberry and plum on the nose. Bold, fruit forward on the pop and opened up nicely. Smooth with balanced tannins and soft oaky and vanilla finish. 4-14-16-7
