Solid wine. Grass, white and tropical fruits on the nose and the palette. Very well balanced, despite quite high alcohol level. The varietal character is very shy, dominated by ripe fruit and lactic acid. While not necessarily a bad thing, the '19 is a little too ripe for my taste and missing some quality acidity. The alcohol tends to dominate the finish. Good ageing potential.

Pale golden color. Wonderful flavors of pear, lemon custard, and tropical fruits. Rich and balanced. Drank over two days- a fantastic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Very interesting Sauv Blanc from Greywacke. Was aged in old barrels using wild yeast, so expect a bit of funk and some texture from the malo.
Nose is a bit different than the classic profile from this grape and region. Boatloads of citrus fruit, bit its laced with a creaminess, reminding me of those candies from when I was a kid that were half cream and half fruit flavoured. Some grassy, herbal character here too, maybe savoury or sage. Salinity pops up as well and a savoury, flinty quality. Overall very complex bouquet though unusual enough that you have to look for some of those aromas. Less tree and tropical fruits than I would have expected, given the other notes.
Palate is quite nice as well, layered with citrus, some savoury nuttiness and a juicy, salty quality. Reminds me of sherry a bit, honestly. Acid is beautiful and pure but the malo adds some oiliness and heft to the texture. Finish is looooong, again making me think of sherry.
Overall a very neat wine - you can tell this is serious and Greywacke has achieved high complexity and interest here. It doesn't taste half bad either ;)

A really unique Sauvignon Blanc, nose opens up pear with floral undertones. Tasting notes are more ripe and decadent, buttery, while still maintaining a distinctly herbal profile that is expected in Sauv B. A medium-bodied wine with medium-high acidity but offsetting sweetness.

Very nice. Feels like a flavourful sav blanc.
Almost like a cross between Chardy and SavBlanc
