  • PnP. Dark berry (blackberry), dark plum, some cassis, some herbs. Medium body, medium acidity, beautiful, round, sweeter character to the fruit, but it's not overripe and finishes dry. I love where this is at now vs my last note in 2/2022. I wish I had bought more, but I am thoroughly enjoying this bottle.

  • Medium purple color, plums, cassis, some blackberry, some herbs and spice, and a touch of cedar. Medium body, medium acidity, fine grained tannins. I like this a lot, but it's a little tight right now. It doesn't seem like it's meant for long term aging, but I'd love to see where this goes in the next 2-4 years. You can certainly drink it now, but I think it has nice mid-term potential. For the price it's well worth tucking a few away for a couple of years.

Edited to add: It really opens up with some time and air. I still think it'd be nice to see where it goes with a couple of years of bottle age. But if you give it an hour of air, you do get the "sweeter" fruit notes that some other tasters describe. Great value.

  • According to the US importer (i.e. Rosenthal Wine Merchant), this is usually 2/3 Syrah and 1/3 Carignan and meant for earlier drinking than the main rouge cuvee.

PNP into Atiap Titanium wine mug ("Root" day): Medium purple to the eyes.

Purplish plums and cherries that are quite ripe and 'sweet' in a nice way. More fruit forward. Some restrained level of white spices but all in good balance.

Good acidity that balanced out the weight on the palate. Well integrated already and ready to enjoy now. Silky tannins.

High quality wine here and really good with food like grilled meat. 92 points easy.

Half bottle left, 1.5 hour in: a lot more tea like herbal and floral notes that is reminiscent of tea leaves in a good way. Enjoyable!
