  • Tasted double-blind in a Pinot from across the world line-up. No decant. A bit closed at first and needed some air. Strawberry fruit, herbs and mineral notes of chalk. Earth and underwood flavors point towards some bottle age. The palate is amazingly light, fruity and fresh. The combined of light but precise aging notes suited this really well today, but probably not a long-distance runner in terms of aging potential. I had no idea this was possible in such a non-core region for Pinot.
