  • We really like this wine! When we first got it, in 2021, we opened a bottle (after six weeks) and liked it, but decided it needed a few years.

Our judgement was correct! It has opened up, and was excellent, especially with Alaskan Salmon.

This was part of a set of four Pinot Noir wines from one of our favorite places, Oregon's Willamette Valley.

If you have any left, you should start enjoying it; tastes like it will still be strong for the next 2-4 years. Enjoy!

  • Love the approach and style: bright medium ruby color; medium bodied; medium aromas and flavors of fresh raspberry, chewy cherry, ripe strawberry, and tart cranberry; all underscored with diluted cherry cola, herbal tea, and wet mulchy earth. Nicely balanced with acidity providing freshness and supporting a medium plus finish. Much more aromatic and flavor intensity would have been more appealing. Drink through 2026.

  • One of the best DN Pinots I’ve had. Pulled the cork and wine sat in the glass for 2 hours by accident… so I’m not sure if the wine needs to mellow after opening. But after two hours this wine gives you all the best qualities of OR Pinot while still scratching that itch of old world style wine: strawberry, subtle cherry, nice dose of earth, nice cooperage, and a bit of green/stems from what I imagine is at least partial whole cluster. smooth entry, a well resolved mid palate, and a finish that has the acidic backbone and brightness for this to go to 2030.

Day 3: I had one glass remaining in the bottle and I’m sure glad I did. This wine is in a beautiful spot, so my last bottle is “hands off” for another 5 years.

I think those with remaining bottles are going to be pleasantly surprised by the 70 series — all 4 — after 2025.

  • 1 hr decant. See through ruby and watery. Thin on aroma, flavor and finish. (Not ethereal, not elegant, just nothing there) This either needs to go through a major transformation or its just not good. Basicaly reminded me of tart acidic cranberry juice at this point.

Total surprise based on the other reviews.

Will revisit again tomorrow with fingers crossed.

Night 2 update: Slightly more aromatic and flavorful. Will hold remaining bottles to 2024
