  • Tasting incredible after the aging. Complex with hints of caramel, apricots, allspice. Flavors linger on the tongue for minutes. Still has some nice acidity. Comparable to a very nice Sauternes. Very impressed for $19.99!

  • I usually like the Fries vineyard when younger but this was kickin'! Nose of almond, lemon, wax, fig, and yeast. More delish fig on the palate as well as filbert, papaya, stale lemon, olive oil, dried herbs, light pepper, Canadian bacon (from the wife...but there was a kinda plastic ham thang going on?), hay, and chalk. Tasted out of the cellar, and when a lil chill was put on the bottle, most of the flavors were lost and out came the vanilla bean. Let it warm up and enjoyed. Pizza for dinner brought out a Speyside peatness that was fun but not food friendly. Love these older Sems from L'Ecole!
