  Fint jordpreg på duft, men med en frukt som kanskje er litt på den varme sida. Hint av plommekompott og kirsebær, men ikke så mye at det forstyrrer. Saftig på en god måte i munnen, med fin fylde og litt umamipreg. God syre også. Av de beste tyske pinotene, men fremdeles ikke helt vår stil: det mangler litt struktur og frukten er på den søte sida.

  2018 von Winning PN Gutenburg vs 2018 Salwey SB Eichberg:
  - Farbe: Winning etwas höhere Farbintensität. Beide bläulich.rot.
  - Geruch: Salwey runde Pinot Nase. Winning eher noch etwas mehr schwarze Frucht und komplexer.
  - Geschmack: Winning mit höherer Komplexität, dabei schon runder. Salwey dagegen mehr ein klassischer dt. SB aus Baden.
  - Beides großartige Weine. Winning aber etwas Besonderes und für mich heute der Sieger. Dabei wird es bestimmt mit Lagerung noch besser.

  First vintage from a half hectare large plot above the Violette plot, with fairly young vines harvested for low yields. Resin in nose, along with eucalyptus, black fruit, barrique, coriander, estragon and thymian. Elegant cherry drop palate with mint, cranberry, and a little cassis. Ending tapers with pepper, pimento and alot of stone. Very elegant and ethereal with lots of slender fruit. End impression is of Pinot lightness and elegance but with volcanic minerals and tart salty red fruits. Very nice.
