  • Really disappointing. The wine expresses none of the nuances one would seek out in a good bottle of burgundy. A definite pass on this one.

  • Drank over two days with wine showing better the second -- similar notes to prior -- pretty red fruit, good balance of fruit / ripe tannins / acidity. Burgundian, but not prominently NSG (eg not picking up the iron I often do in NSG). Elegant wine. Exceptionally I would decant this an hour before serving since the tannins were slightly prominent / woody initially, which faded over time. Has 3-5 years to be at peak

  • Very pretty red fruit, sharp acidity, good minerality -- a nicely balanced cocktail of the three. Not exceptionally long or deep. In a lighter vintage than 2005 this might have been over-acidic, but there is enough fruit to balance it out. Think this has another 5 years of improvement ahead of it but it feels like a wine that is best while still showing such pretty fruit.
