Darkish gold color, but not poxed, I don't think. OTOH, not very good either. Overwhelmed by oak, with a reductive character that gives the oak a smokey edge, lots of woody vanilla and spice, hardly any actual fruit. There's decent chalky extract, but the extract is oddly diffuse and fraying and the wine is a bit soft, there's none of the drive or coiled tension that makes Corton-Charlemagne great.

Copper-gold. Compact orchard fruit on the nose, firm and dense on the palate, with pear, quince, and pie spices. Very long finish.

STG does White Burgundy and a bonus Cabot tasting (Gig Harbor, WA): Perhaps the least ready of the wines we tasted. Somewhat forced and abrasive. Not so enjoyable for me.
