  • Really had an off smell and taste for the first few hours but came back later. After second day the funk blew off but it never amounted to much anyway. Very dark, heavy red fruits, not much tannic backbone and that over-extracted petroleum-like finish.

  • Nice nose of deep red fruit and a touch of Burgundy Funk on it. Once the glass kits the palate, all of that funk is gone and this turns into a pretty typical Fruit Bomb Santa Barbara Pinot. A lot of Cherry, strawberry, raspberry and other red ripe fruits. The fruit was a bit overripe for my palate but after staying in the glass for half hour to an hour, the wine seemed to mellow out nicely. A really nice, rich finish...

  • Sweet strawberry and raspberry fruit explode from the glass, along with forrest floor and baking spice. More raspberry on the palate that is joined by grapefruit and mineral. Good acidity and very enjoyable pinot to drink. Drink now-2010. 87 pts.
