Holy SMOKE! Giant smoke on the nose, so I can barely make out the big earth too. In the mouth the dark fruits come out to play and the smoke recedes a bit. Long, peanut-buttery finish. Color is black garnet. Gorgeous when there's enough light to actually penetrate the dense fluid. Probably needs to be opened before sunset to have enough powerful illumination. ;-)

Fascinating nose of red licorice the first night, sweet and creamy. That toned down on night two and there was more earth and red berry. On the palate it's unassuming, delivering good structure and balance but not with any "wow" factor, which is just fine at this price point. Good food wine, nice alongside white bean soup with duck leg confit. Finishes with some juicy dark berry.

Great qpr. Nose: dark berry (blackberry) perhaps a bit of stewed purple plum. Definite subdued fruit with licorice (black) and hints of green herbs. Palate confirmed fruit and licorice - herb showed as well. Nice medium finish - for the price, great bottle.

(Domaine de Fontsainte Corbières) Dark red violet color with pale meniscus; intriguing berry, lavender and orange nose; more disappointing and murky on palate of tart spicy, herbal plum and black fruit; cliff short finish

So freaking delicious! Opaque ruby, med bodied, lots of roasted meat on the nose with a lovely peppery finish. This is dynamite for the price!

Very nice, rustic, honest Languedoc wine with dark berries and nice acidity. Not much structure, and made to drink now, but definitely worth a try.
