  • This incredibly old, dry Amontillado comes from the original solera acquired in 1822 by D. León de Argüeso y Argüeso upon founding the legendary firm that bears his name. Minuscule quantities are bottled each year from the three remaining casks. It expresses the maritime essence of Sanlúcar de Barrameda's Barrio Bajo district.
    100% Palomino
Intensely aromatic on the nose with aromas that show sea brine, salt crust, walnut and hazelnuts, dried autumn leaves new leather, and yeast with hints of fruit cake, dried orange zest and maple.
The palate is bone dry with sharp acidity. Flavors of toasted hazelnuts and almond mingle with notes of saline and brine, fruitcake, dried orange zest, leather, cigar tobacco, dried leaves and streaks of maple. Long through the selenic finish.
