Cellared at 54 degrees for 1.5 years. Chilled the bottle down in the fridge, then left open at room temp for 1 hour. Drank at cellar temp or warmer.
Aroma: currants, fresh dark fruit, cedar, leather; violets Palate: inky; soft tannins; dark fruit Body: medium-plus
Drinking well now. Might maintain or improve for another year, but probably in decline after that. Well-structured wine with soft, feminine notes that lend some elegance. Great alternative to Malbec for grilled beef with chimichurri. Not out of line with one's expectations for a syrah.

Dark purple color. Kind of a high alcohol on the nose. A little woodsy...the leather notes for sure. But so muted. Swilled our way through this rather than sipped.

Although there is a lot of flavor to this wine, the predominant flavor on the first day is of a leather baseball glove softened with vaseline. On the second day a bit of red berry flavor is there as well along with some green woody notes.

I’ve been sitting on this bottle for about three years now, and I'm hoping it held up alright despite all the cellar moves.
I decanted it for 30 minutes and the first glass is showing juicy berries and floral aromas. Bright, light finish. Some earthy umami notes in there as well. It’s not as heavy hitting as most Syrahs I’ve tried, which I chalk up to it being 20% petite verdot. It's really very lovely, actually.

Earthy musky nose. A bit acidic but nice fruit, chalk and tannins.
