Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • New bottling from the producer from younger vines. Instead of Mt. Veeder, it's Napa Valley AVA. Medium nose gives graphite, sweet herbal tone, black fruit, fresh coffee grounds. Palate is fresh fruit, some red layers, red plum, blackberry, black plum, coffee note is lessened, a touch tart, drinks with very little oak influence as expected, then structure backs things up well, medium plus tannins, medium acidity, medium plus body. All that being said, lacks a mid-palate and might be a touch tight relative to it's fruit. Cool to see entry price point from this producer.
