  • Pale gold fading to a pale straw outer edge. An expressive nose of light toffee, butterscotch, white chocolate, bruised Brmaley apples, sandalwood, crushed walnuts, blanched almonds, and dried white flowers. The palate is dry and austere with bruised orchard fruit, candied lemon peel, and dried chopped apricots. There’s really good depth, concentration, and freshness.

  • Oak, vanilla fudge, baking spices, and perhaps white chocolate on the nose. Spiced brown bruised apple on the attack, developing into dried out or preserved fruit with zero sweetness, then some herbaceousness, then returning to the oak on the half minute plus finish. After an hour, on the mid palette, a candied lemon characteristic showed up, again, without the sweetness. Right up my street.
