  Enjoyable, light on the tannins heavy on the black fruit. I would imbibe again.

  This wine has a deep garnet color and a nose of blueberry pie with blue and black fruit and the deep scent of nutmeg. The first tastes are of blackberry with hints of blueberry, raspberry and black cherry followed by a jammy mid-palate that evolves into a nice warm finish showcasing just the right amount of black licorice and oak with moderately grippy tannins. The finish has a tad more alcohol that I would have liked although that moderated as dinner progressed and the wine warmed up.
  
  Served PNP while nicely accompanying a veal stew with a tomato base served over pasta with generous helpings of Pecorino Romano cheese.
