Grignotte cherry-red color, still a purple/blueish tinge. Still quite young nose with a whiff of ink. Drier than the 2012. Fruity on the palate , still young, acidity/ tannins not fully integrated. Maybe a tad leaner and shorter than the 2012 Pre du Col tasted alongside.. Holds promise for the future but probably will not attain the same ease and elegance. I would say it is still 3-5 years away from being fully ready.

Trying another one of these here in Feb. 2023. Last one was back in 2020 which I clearly enjoyed but felt like the wine was still just a baby.
This one is really jumping out of the glass with lots of sharp ripeness and highly expressive complexities. It smells like a fully developed wine. Plum, passionfruit, pomegranate, crushed talc, wet river rocks.... Actually, REALLY river-like, complete with that sort of really clean aquatic air that you might smell next to some river rapids.
The tannins are a little more resolved than last time but they're still pretty wound up tight! This wine is almost there but I think the sweet spot is going to be when I have the next one in about 3 years from now.
Nevertheless, an absolutely brilliant pleasure inducing wine that would never disappoint any Pinot noir enthusiast.
