  • Absolutely gorgeous, this wine had a lot of the elements that I look for in a California pinot, really gorgeous dark berries, a bit of aromatic wet earth, a nose of crushed strawberries, some really beautiful spice, and an unbelievably plush, silky mouthfeel, with really gorgeous acid. The finish was stunning, so sensuous, incredibly sexy wine.

This wine surpassed my expectations on just about every level, I was astonished that it wasn't a single vineyard wine. I wonder where they source this wine from? Just a tremendous effort.

Given another year or two, it could improve to a 96. The fruit was very bright.

  • Opened and finished in an hour. Gorgeous. Crushed raspberry and strawberry with a thread of light vanilla, sitting in a beautiful structure. Balance is spot on, oak is suited really well. This is classy.

  • It’s a baby, but I couldn’t keep my hands off this vintage any longer, had to try and see what was happening. Knowing the prime drinking window likely is ahead, decanted for about 3 hours prior to trying. What an absolutely lovely wine. Great nose followed by all of the flavors you would expect from a RRV Pinot. This is right up there with the best KB Pinots I’ve had, and really one of the better Pinots from any producer. Certainly not cheap, but it’s a special wine. The best years likely are ahead, I’ll pry wait another 3-5 for my next bottle, but it is really good now. If consuming now, definitely give it a few hours in the decanter.

  • While not a QPR Pinot Noir this wine delivers joy.

Similar to last year the nose & palate display cherry, pomegranate and cranberry. A lush mouthfeel. Flavors of cherry, strawberry, hints of earthy leaf and more oak spices delivers pure joy for this New World Pinot.

  • Tasted at Pigs and Pinot 2023. Sought this out as my first wine and it ended up being my personal WOTN. Singing acidity holds up the red fruits which are prominent - cherry, pomegranate - nicely wound together with light oak and mild spice and some leaves. Nicely layered and complex. Went great with the awesome sopes of Chefs Mulligan and Alvarez from Spoonbar, conveniently placed in the same section of the event!
