Lime, stone, green apple nose. Butterscotch, lemon, pear, butter, briney on the palate. Despite its California typicity still quite nimble. M acidity. Great pairing with pasta. Very elegant if subdued. A steal.

Opened at cellar temperature, poured into a decanter, and enjoyed. Grassl Cru glass. Medium yellow color. Nose offers green apple, some lemon zest and sea spray. Has nice brightness on the intro. There is a lanolin texture and flavor to the wine. Slight hint of toast along with the green apple.
Enjoyable.

I'm in my fascination phase with anything from Santa Cruz so I had to jump on this berserker Day offer. Very light note of butterscotch, not distracting, and terrific edgy Chardonnay flavors. Very nice wine and I'm looking forward to tasting through the other four or five wines from this producer.

Serve blind to me. I put this on Chardonnay, so I got that right. Past that, couldn't guess any further. The wood it was put through adds some fragrance to the aroma, mainly a toasted wood signature. Elegant, gentle and balanced with apple, green tropical and a brushing of mineral to the finish. I enjoyed this, a nice balance between elegance and varietal character.

Lovely wine. Minerality, seashells, and green apple on the nose. Hints of melon and matchstick. The palate is the same. Driven by great acidity end to end. Excellent minerality with a med-rich mouthfeel and some hints of oak on the long finish. Serious wine, a nice contrast to the 18 Bruzzone and Mindego Ridge. This wine is a baby and has a long life ahead of it. Diam 10 Closure. This wine sits up there with Santa Cruz Mountains Royalty. Compared favorably to some much more expensive white burg tasted side by side. Sandar and Hemm are quickly establishing themselves as a new benchmark in SCM Chardonnay. To me, this is better than Ridge and Mount Eden young and certainly comparable to offerings from Rhys. Well done Rob! Will be interesting to see how fair after 10 years against its peers.
