Double decant. Layers upon layers of red fruits. Some floral notes and a bit of meaty rocks funk but it’s very mild. Gorgeous texture. This is the best wine from pasxa so far. A sexy sexy wine. Love it!

This is an absolutely gorgeous wine. While it carries signature Rocks characteristics—savory, brine, roasted meats—it is not dominated by them, with plenty of fruit. Plush and elegantly balanced. Tannins are firm, as this wine is still quite young, but not at all harsh. Easy to drink now with a good, long decant, this will be even more of a stunner in 3-5 years. Will I wait that long? Don’t know that I can.

Purple in color. 14% ABV. Subdued nose of dark fruits, charred meats, olives and tar. Full bodied with perfect acidity. Black raspberry, blood orange, iron and pepper on the palate. The finish is long and seamless with pronounced tannins. Not your typical Rocks District Syrah. This wine begs for time in the cellar or at the very least, a healthy decant. Best over the next 8-10 years.
