40 min decant - it needed the air. Still a bit tannic but flavor is balanced. Raspberry, black currant and blackberry. Pepper, green herbs and charred meat, along with tobacco. Nose has hints of butter and vanilla as well. Med+ length.

My first time with the Bedrock syrah -- I love syrah and I've enjoyed the other bedrock cuvees I've had, so I was expecting to love this and didn't!
On the nose, intensely lactic-y and barnyard poopy. I'm normally OK with some bretty notes but this was overwhelmingly yogurty, maybe the worst smelling wine I've had that was still palatable. The palate was a lot better, juicy and spiced. I gave this a lot of air and the fruit and other characteristics disappeared and the alcohol came through.
Winebid purchase, maybe this was a flawed bottle. I have another bottle and some other vintages, definitely going to give this another try.
This wine drinks more Rhone than California. Very impressive effort. Would have guessed St. Joseph. Even has a bit a funk that would have thrown most noses off. Barnyard, olives, pepper, grilled meats.. delicious!
If Rhone is your jam this will surprise you.
At $20 per this is crazy good
Drink or hold.

Definitely showing some development from the previous bottles I drank in 2021. A little less acidity and less primary than before, with some bacon fat. Really good QPR as always.

A little funk on day one. Cleaner fruit on day two.
