  • I have high expectations of Cote-Rotie wines and this didn't meet them. Very fruit-forward (it is young, mind) with blackcurrant, blackberry. Not a lot of tension. Medium tannins. Not much in the way of perfume. Medium to mild oak. There's a little bit of mousiness that crops up in the aftertaste, but it's quite slight. A vague hint of pepper (you have to look for it), no meat. It's still enjoyable enough to quaff, but I wouldn't buy it myself (this was a gift).
