Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Tasting at winery: Mushroomy nose, although the taste is much different than the nose. Bought to play with decanting, etc.

    Alcohol: 13%
Initial taste: The wine starts with a thin mouthfeel that many Pinots have. The initial flavor is very strong with green pepper which quickly goes away. Shortly after the initial ,thin feeling in the mouth, the wine tastes on a little more weight, still not heavy but it has some weight. I find this wine to be pretty interesting, and I look forward to investigating some more.

Second bottle (5/6/2008): Right after opening the bottle, a strong, green pepper-vegetal nose and taste occurs. This smell and taste was temporary. The mouthfeel and color was Pinot-thin. After the strong, initial green pepper nose and taste, a slight, and not unpleasant, vegatal undertone appears under the little fruit.
