Clean, open, and fragrant, the medium-high intensity aromas offer attractive nutty and caramel notes layered over orange, apricot, brown sugar, and honey. The medium+ bodied palate is very dry with oxidative and nutty flavours, plus touches of lemon peel, salty, leesy, and caramel adding complexity. Acids are fresh and well-balanced, while oxidative, leesy, nutty, and salty notes linger on the exceptionally long, dry, and slightly bitter finish. Best served with a light chill. Score: 91+ pts
By the glass at St John's, London. Rich, soft sweet edge, oxidative and nutty . Chose it to be paired with the rich dishes a St John's and worked very well albeit could have helped if it was a bit sharper. Pretty one though.
Comes alive with food. Didn't think it would work with lamb meatballs in tomato sauce, but both were better for the pairing.
On its own, although it is dry, there are so many elements that present as "sweet" in my brain, it was hard to totally get into until I started snacking.

Briny, salted nut, and toast nose. Full, dry, and salty palate; warming, with medium length.

Nutty taste, nice and dry taste. Deep colored and flavored.
