Ruby colored with a nose of tar. Taste is really smooth with vegetal notes on the outset and black pepper on the finish. Rich plum notes running through the middle. Decanted five hours which was plenty of time

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like orange. The body is light/medium. The wine has angular texture. The wine has medium acidity.

A year after my first bottle and I am just as enamored by this one. It took a full 8 hours to really unfurl, but then I found it truly classy and delicious (I know, technical terms). There's a modest herbal note in there but I find it more in the black pepper realm and I think this goes great with peppered meats like pastrami. Probably 3-4 years away from its prime.
Pnp with some aeration. Really nice wine that has come together, finishes a little green which is typical of cab franc, tannin and acid well integrated. Great QPR, served blind this was confused for a $100+ cab franc.
