Compared to the Janasse CdP 2019 (made from the same vineyard, processed in the same winery, except this is 100% Grenache) this is a bit one dimensional and bitter in the end. I prefer the Janasse CdP. I guess, the quality of the Antonin will grow year by year. Would not consider this a ˋlitte brother of the Chaupinˋ.
Tons of dark cherries, kirsch, understated pie spices and dried herbs (rosemary?). The palate is smooth, tanins are "enveloppés" and enough acidity to carry the fruit. But this is a tad hot, the alcohol is perceptible. And it feels a little monotone to me. It's basically kirschy cherries from beginning to end. Others at the table liked this over the Clusel-Roch CR Les Schistes. I preferred the CR.

Bam! Tons of sweet cherry on the nose and in the mouth. Herbaceous finish. Feels hotter than 15.5% to me. I'd guess 16.2% or perhaps even more. Had I tasted this blind, I'd likely have guessed Paso Robles. Clos Solene or another powerhouse Grenache from the Willow Crek district. I like it but it's not what I typically expect from a CdP.

Succulent with great energy, showing kirsch, brambly fruit, smooth tannins and a mineral edge. Slightly hot at 15.5%, but balanced nonetheless. Great pairing with a grilled strip steak.

Medium-bodied, the nose, with its herbs, spices, flowers and kirsch is just great. On the palate the wine is elegant, fresh, vibrant and silky with loads of sweet, ripe, kirsch and cherry tones that hold on from the mid-palate through to the finish. The wine was made from100% Grenache. You can enjoy this on release. Drink from 2022 - 2033
