Excellent White Burgundy, perhaps a little young. Oak needs further integration, so I'll take a chance that the premox bug doesn't bite, and hold my remaining bottle for a few years. I may have served this wine a little too cold, as it improved as it warmed in the glass, verging on a 93. I love high end white Burgundy, but it's hard to justify the price, considering the number of inexpensive good Mâcons available.

This was much better than my last bottle; fresher with more citrus and mineral along with much more tension. Excellent depth for a village cru and got more intense and taut with air. Paired with a lobster cream soup and it was absolutely killer. May have to pick up another bottle to follow further. Bottled with diam; I think it was 10, but may have been 30

This got going after about 30 mins in the glass. Pear, white peach, honeysuckle, jasmine, with a touch of citrus and wood on nose and palate. Open knit texture and creamy mid-palate, well balanced with medium acidity. This will be pure hedonism in another 2-3 years.

Dinner at D Cuisine (Chicago, IL): Fantastic stuff -- I really like the modern Lafon incarnations. This shows the richness of both Meursault and the vintage, but without becoming overbearing either. Plenty of acidity too. So structurally, this is absolutely sound; it's just that I would have loved to see a little more fruit and concentration on the palate -- that's what separates this from the 1er crus.
