Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Finished in Cote Rotie casks
Never quite understood why but like a lot of red wine cask whiskies this smells a bit like a tawny port - very strawberries and a touch of varnish. Also toffee, and cherries.
Spicy on the palate, cinnamon and cardamom, sweet toffee notes, quite a bit of wood tannin and nutty notes, like cobnuts giving it a creamy finish.
