Bill's Monthly Lunch - June 2012 (Vancouver, BC): Tasted Blind – Very ripe on the nose with notes of American oak, plums, blackberries and a similar green/stalky note to the ’04 Leonetti. Rich in the mouth with dark fruit flavours and good weight. There’s decent structure and balance to this wine and it’s actually quite pleasant to drink. I guessed this to be from Aussie or Spain. Very good.

Too bad they're out of business as this bottle has evolved quite nicely with some life still left in it. Medium bodied w/notes black/blue/red fruits and a little pencil lead/cedar. Nice mid palate of plummy, bright raspberry & pie cherry fruit w/good acidity and resolved tannins. Did well w/gas broiled strip steak, mushrooms and salad. My last bottle of Nicholas Cole wine...

Dark red. Some herbal, red fruit and a bit of dill. Nice balanced darker flavours and a decent finish.
