Fabulous wine that needs a few hours to really show its stuff. My chardonnay (and white wine as a whole) experience is rather limited, so the detailed subtleties and nuances of this wine may be lost upon me.
To describe this simply, it is a fabulous white burgundy without the strong overlying oak presence. It has power, density, depth, richness, without feeling heavy. Agree with prior notes describing lemon oil, orchard fruit, white peach, apple, etc. To me, the hallmark of a great wine is the finish. This is just an explosion of minerality, white fruit and flowers, and balanced acidity.
Fabulous wine that drinks beautifully now, and should cellar with ease for another 10-15 years.

Greenish yellow color. Explosive but at the same time very classy with notes of lemon oil, ripe pear, plenty of wet stone minerality, there is also some seashell, a touch of sweet spices and some orchard fruit. It‘s medium-full bodied, with very good mid-palate persistence, there is pretty high acidity providing freshness and tension, as well as just a touch of bitterness on the finish adding complexity. Very long finish. An excellent Valmur from this great producer, ideally I would give this another 2-3 years but it‘s hard to keep my hands away from this. Also a relative bargain in high-level white or any Burgundy. (95+)

Lacking in fruit and fragrance. A bit too lean and clean.

Flinty with pear, stone fruit, balanced acidity and a delightful finish.

Just okay. Clean simple not much flavor or expression. Just bland flat wine.
