  • This wine opened with a deep cherry red colour and a foward nose of freshly cut red cherries, redcurrants, strawberries and nice floral touches. The palate has a nice medium weight and a core of persistent red fruits and gentle florality that lift the wine and that persist nicely on the palate. There is a very soft line of tannins and minerality that is very attractive.

  • Maybe not pronounced funky, but a pleasure to drink quality wine at this pricepoint. Gained weight after 1 hr, leaning towards some bdx-markers on the nose (?). Saved half for nxt day.

Seemingly a little closed cf previous bottle this may simply now need time in the bottle to unfurl further.

  • Drank at Duck House in SGV, wine #1 of 3. First time trying this producer. This was just ok - Missing the funk that love from the region, this was more of a classic style. the nose had some violets and purple fruit, but on the palate the acidity stood out a bit too much imo, and the tannins were a bit sharp. I suppose this could benefit from other year or two in the cellar, but overall not my favorite style of Beaujolais and not very interesting to me.
