Very closed at the beginning. This wine needs quite a bit of decanter before yielding its power. And it is still young. That said, strong green notes at the beginning with powerful acidity. After a bit of decanting, it is creamy thick. Gains in flowers and then tropical fruit. After a while adds strawberries and apricots on top. Below the fruit, a mineral body. Very fine wine. Open in a couple of years.

the wine is crisp, and vibrant, aromas of pear, lime, crushed stone and hay grass with round flinty notes; firm acidity and minerality on the finish with lemon and vanilla hints.

A nice wine all in all. A fair amount of acid lift, but this being my first time with this bottling was slightly disappointed. Is there a difference in wine making between father and son that you can detect? If this is indicative of a change I greatly prefer father over son.

SLDS May 2021: Apple, apricot, graphite, pear and strawberry on the nose. Palate is medium bodied, with plenty of fruit but also a pithy bitterness that gives it a bit more complexity. Feels like a complete package despite its youth.

This wine has so much potential. It needs a ton of air or time. Hold
