The drinking date is completely wrong, since this has been sitting on my counter being converted to vinegar. Once the bottle is gone, I need this note to remind me that this wine was not worth drinking once opened. Whether mine showed bottle variation or I just don't have 90 points to give for hot, short, bourbon-like cab (and I like bourbon, don't get me wrong), I want to make sure I don't buy this again, thinking it's inexpensive for "Oakville" cab. This was harsh, overdone, kind of oaky in a dry rot way.

Big purple fruits, blackberry, pepper, eucalyptus on the nose. A little alcoholic on the nose and also on the tongue. Juicy, fruit forward, cherries, bourbon, a slight spice at the end. Not much finish. Light tannins. Low acid. Fine drinking wine in the low $20 but strangely a little hot in the back of the throat.
