Retailer tasting (@ the Georgian embassy): The best Georgian wine I have tasted. Very tasteful and a good balance between sweetness and acidity. Good tannin. Luxurious/sophisticated toasted oak. The oak is not fully integrated yet imo, but for the rest I fully agree with Umay Ceviker.

Fermented in the old traditional style clay amphoras called "Qvevri" and transfered to French barriques after the pressing for malolactic fermentation. Unfiltered, a bit cloudy. Youthful ruby with a purple shade. Beautiful and elegant red berries, liquorice and plums. Soft and silky with good acidity and sophisticated structure. Ripe, well integrated tannins. Black berries along with a spicy, earthy undertone. Will definitely improve in the next decade. Best example for modern style Georgian dry reds and it is getting better each year. I hope, though, the record breaking 800 gr bottle gets lighter over the next vintages.

The Wines of Georgia (LIWSF, London): 13% Aged in oak for 24 months. There is integrated oak and cherry fruit on the nose, which is very even. Very soft palate, with soft, easy red fruits. Very Good.
